Tijuana No! is a ska, rock and punk band from Tijuana, Baja California. They started out as Radio Chantaje, became No, switched to No de Tijuana when they found out another band already had the name, and finally shortened it to Tijuana No!.
From the start, their lyrics were about social criticism. They openly supported the EZLN and sang about racial, cultural and political problems on both sides of the border, including US immigration policy.
They recorded their first album on an independent label in 1991. A year later, Culebra Records (BMG) re-released it with new artwork and pushed the single Pobre de Ti, which made them known far beyond Tijuana.
